NOTE 9 - INCOME TAXES
Our income tax benefit for the three and six months ended June听30, 2024 is $15听million and $23听million, respectively, compared to income tax expense of $102 million and $89 million for the three and six months ended June听30, 2023, respectively, primarily due to depletion in excess of state income tax expense and the impact of immaterial discrete items relative to changes in pre-tax income.
